Feed the Homeless Christmas Event 2015

Love ought to show itself in deeds over and above words. St Ignatius Loyola

Hello LOL families and friends!!!!

This week we all witnessed the presence of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. What a true blessing indeed! Personally, I was and still am spiritually inspired by his presence and what he had preached. I watched and heard (thank God for the DVR!) all his speeches and homilies and the most striking message, not only for Catholics but to ALL was “God wants us to love the poor”. What a beautiful and simple message!!! One of you sent me a text to let me know that LOL is already doing this! Thank you for that enormous compliment. I am so humbled and gratified that we are doing exactly what God wants us to do. This message is simple and clear but we need to discern and ensure that our love for the poor is nothing superficial; it must come from our hearts with passion, compassion and must be unconditional!!! Few years ago, we went to a place selling cheap food products and the lady in charge asked me for what purpose and I told her that we were feeding the poor, immediately; she did not want to sell us because she did not think the homeless should be fed because we were enabling them to be homeless. It saddened me that some people feel and think this way. God loves everyone unconditionally.

As we serve our less fortunate brethren on our LOL Christmas events, let us look at them in the image and likeness of God. As we hand the food to them, we are actually feeding God that moment.“Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, you do it unto to Me”

This is our new prayer, YES, we will serve the poor!!! Yes, we will give our love!!! YES, to GOD….. Amen.

During this summer, there were a few of our LOL friends who had undergone some life changing events. Please pray for them, their families and all LOL members.

Baby, Tony’s sister from Canada and her husband came to visit us and she has updated our blog, please check it out. Thank you Baby for making our LOL Blog as the social messenger J Kindly share this to your friends and families.

Renee had a life changing event recently and she shared her testimony in our Blog. She is simply a special person so full of love and greatly blessed. I urge you to read her testimony to know what I mean!
